Abu Dhabi Tourism asks hotels to extend the stay of guests who are unable to travel

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi sent a circular to hotel facility managers regarding extending the stay of guests who were unable to travel due to the current circumstances.
The department explained, in a circular, a copy of which was obtained by Emirates Today, that the decision comes based on Law No. 8 of 2018 regarding the establishment of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and the tasks and competencies it stipulates to achieve tourism development in the emirate.
The department called on hotel establishments to extend the stay of guests whose departure date has come but who are unable to travel for reasons beyond their control, until they are able to leave.
She confirmed that the costs of the extension period will be covered by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
