With the exception of one category: the rise in iron prices in Saudi Arabia during March 2026

Iron prices recorded noticeable increases in Saudi Arabia during the month of March 2026, as rebar prices rose for almost all countries except one category, according to data General Authority for Statistics.

According to the bulletin of average prices Construction goods and the costs of building materials. All countries recorded an increase in prices during the month of March, except for 6 mm diameter steel, which was relatively stable at 3,948.7 riyals per ton, compared to 3,958 riyals a month ago.
The data showed an increase in the price of 8 mm diameter steel by 1.7% to record 2,696.8 riyals per ton in March, compared to 2,651.9 riyals in the previous February. The price of 10 mm rebar rose by 1.8% to 2,744.7 riyals per ton.
In the larger diameters, 12 mm rebar recorded 2,702 riyals, an increase of 2.9% on a monthly basis, and 14 mm steel recorded 2,705 riyals per ton, also an increase of 2.9%, and 16 and 18 mm rebar rose by 2.9% to record 2704 and 2708 riyals per ton, respectively. The price of iron connecting cables (10 kg) increased by 1.5% to 47.4 riyals.
Electrical cable and wire prices
Census data showed an increase in the price of electrical wires with diameters of 2.5, 4 and 6 mm by a rate ranging between 1 and 1.5% on a monthly basis, while the prices of larger diameter electrical cables witnessed relatively stability compared to the previous month.
Aluminum and wood
The price of aluminum and wood increased. Aluminium (Saudi side earrings) increased by 1.1% on a monthly basis, to record 95.5 riyals in March, compared to 94.5 riyals in the previous February.
In timber, the price of Chilean wood increased by 1.2% to 1,542 riyals per cubic meter, African teak wood increased by 0.7% to 6,789 riyals, and Romanian wood by 1.4% to 1,529 riyals. And Indonesian plywood by 1.8% to 3105 riyals per cubic meter.
