The Head of State and the Iraqi President discuss by telephone regional developments and their repercussions

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a phone call from Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, President of the sisterly Republic of Iraq, during which they discussed the dangerous military escalation in the region and its repercussions on security and stability there, in addition to the blatant Iranian attacks on the lands of the UAE and a number of sister countries.

During the call, the Iraqi President expressed his country’s solidarity with the UAE following the Iranian attacks on its territory, while His Highness thanked the President for Iraq’s position in support of the UAE.

The two sides stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts to stop the military escalation in the region and resort to political solutions in a way that preserves regional peace and security and prevents the conflict from expanding.
