The UAE air defenses deal with 12 ballistic missiles and 123 drones

Abu Dhabi, 3 March / WAM / The Ministry of Defense announced that the UAE air defenses intercepted 11 ballistic missiles and 123 drones today, while one missile fell inside the country’s territory without recording any human casualties.

The Ministry explained that since the start of the blatant Iranian attack, 186 ballistic missiles were detected that were launched towards the state, with 172 missiles destroyed, while 13 of them fell into the sea, and one missile fell on the state’s territory. It also monitored 812 Iranian marches, 755 of which were intercepted, while 57 took place inside the state’s territory, in addition to monitoring and destroying 8 mobile missiles, causing some collateral damage and the death of 3 people. Of Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationalities, in addition to 68 minor cases of infection from Emirati, Egyptian, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, and Afghan nationalities.

The Ministry confirmed that the sounds heard in various areas of the country are the result of the interception by both air defense systems of ballistic missiles, and fighters of drones and mobile aircraft, which led to minor and moderate material damage to a number of civilian objects.

The Ministry condemned in the strongest terms this military targeting, considering it a blatant aggression and a blatant violation of national sovereignty and international law, stressing that the state reserves the full right to respond to this escalation and take all necessary measures to protect its lands, people and residents, in a way that guarantees the preservation of its sovereignty, security and stability and protects its national interests and capabilities.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed that it is fully prepared and ready to deal with any threats, and that it is taking all necessary measures to firmly confront everything that aims to destabilize the security and stability of the state, stressing that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors represents a top priority that cannot be neglected.

The Ministry called on the public to obtain information from official sources in the country, and to avoid circulating rumors or unreliable information.
