The procedures for the arrival of pilgrims were completed in record time through an initiative "Mecca Road"It is one of the initiatives of the Ministry of the Interior within the Program for Serving the Guests of God – one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 -, which represents an advanced model of integration between government agencies and the private sector, as all entry procedures, health requirements and baggage loading were completed in the initiative hall at the departure airport in Bangladesh, which enabled pilgrims to move directly from the plane to the buses designated to transport them to their residences in Mecca without the need to wait at the passport counters or receive the luggage, through dedicated paths that ensure smooth flow. Movement.
Al-Jasser stressed that the transportation and logistics services system works according to an integrated operational strategy, relying on harnessing modern technologies and artificial intelligence to provide the best services.
Caring for the guests of God
The Minister of Transport indicated that these efforts come as an extension of the generous care given by the wise leadership – may God protect them – to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, and in an effort to achieve the goals of the national strategy for transportation and logistics services emanating from the Kingdom’s vision. 2030, which places the quality of experience and facilitating the pilgrim’s journey among its priorities.
He explained that this integration between government agencies embodies a qualitative shift in transportation services, pointing out that dealing with pilgrims’ luggage is done through smart electronic systems that ensure its arrival at the residences simultaneously with the pilgrims’ arrival.
At the conclusion of the reception, the arriving pilgrims expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom for the precision in organization and speed in procedures they found. They received a warm reception, stressing that the readiness and advanced equipment they witnessed reflects the Kingdom’s keenness and its pioneering role in caring for the guests of God and providing them with high-quality services.
