Secretary General of the Zayed Legacy Foundation attends a diplomatic evening for the Blood Donation Society at the Zayed National Museum

ABU DHABI, 5 March / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Secretary General of the Zayed Legacy Foundation, attended the Ramadan evening organized by the Emirates Blood Donation Association under the title “Diplomatic Tent 2”, in the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, coinciding with the celebration of “Zayed Humanitarian Work Day”, and in the presence of His Excellency Counselor Dr. Ali Ahmed Al Ansari, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors.

Yesterday evening, the event also witnessed a wide attendance of officials, ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the state, distinguished scholars, guests of His Highness the President of the State, “may God protect him,” representatives of various religions, and an elite group of national leaders and community figures, in a scene that embodies the UAE’s position as an oasis of coexistence, peace, security, and cultural convergence.

In his speech during the ceremony, His Excellency Counselor Dr. Ali Ahmed Al Ansari stressed that commemorating “Zayed Humanitarian Work Day” represents a renewed national milestone to recall the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” who made giving an established approach, humanity an immortal message, and human dignity an uncompromising priority.

He said that this year’s celebration coincides with the “Year of the Family”, which reflects the depth of Zayed’s vision, which was not only a state project, but rather a project of a cohesive society based on the family and its spirit of solidarity and compassion, stressing that the family constitutes a solid foundation for building a balanced and cohesive society, preserving national identity, and consolidating the values ​​of responsibility and belonging.

He stressed that the UAE has made peace a consistent strategic choice, and believes that dialogue and wisdom are the best way to overcome challenges, with its firm commitment to preserving its national security and protecting its gains with all firmness and responsibility, in light of the wise leadership that has strengthened the country’s position globally in the fields of humanitarian and relief work and sustainable development.

He added that the meeting at this national landmark embodies the renewal of the pledge that Zayed’s legacy will remain alive in humanitarian initiatives and projects, and extend its impact in various areas of giving inside and outside the country, to consolidate the UAE’s position as an oasis of security and stability and a beacon of goodness and peace.

After that, a documentary film entitled “The Legacy of Zayed Al-Khair” was shown, which reviewed the UAE’s humanitarian journey over decades, and how the country’s name became synonymous with giving and extending a helping hand to peoples around the world.

At the end of the evening, His Excellency Counselor Dr. Ali Ahmed Al Ansari honored His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili in appreciation of his continued support for community and humanitarian work.

His Excellency and His Excellency also honored a number of entities and institutions that support the association’s activities, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Community Empowerment, the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police, the General Administration of Civil Defense in Abu Dhabi, the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi, the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Agthia Company, Rabdan Academy, Al Ain Farms, Al Qattara Market, and the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Center.
