An Iranian drone attack on civilian facilities in Azerbaijan leaves two injured

Today, Azerbaijan announced that it was subjected to an attack by Iranian drones targeting civilian facilities, as one fell on the Nakhchivan International Airport building, while another fell near a school in the village of Shakarabad, resulting in material damage to the airport and wounding two civilians.
In a statement broadcast by the AZERTAC agency, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense held Tehran fully responsible for this escalation, stressing that it is preparing the necessary response measures to protect the sovereignty of Azerbaijan and the security of its citizens, stressing that these actions will not go unanswered.
For its part, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned these attacks, describing them as a blatant violation of the rules and principles of international law and a factor that contributes to the escalation of regional tension.
The Ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador to Baku to inform him of its strong protest and hand him an official note of protest.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry confirmed that Azerbaijan reserves its full right to take appropriate measures in response to this attack that targeted its territory and civilian facilities.
