The Head of State made a phone call with the President of Azerbaijan, during which he condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted its territory

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, made a phone call with Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during which they discussed the developments taking place in the region and the repercussions of the escalating military actions that threaten security and stability at the regional and international levels.

His Highness condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted the lands of Azerbaijan, stressing the UAE’s solidarity with it regarding all measures it takes to preserve its security and territorial integrity.

For his part, the Azerbaijani President thanked His Highness the President of the State for the sincere feelings he expressed and the position of the UAE and its solidarity with Azerbaijan.

During the call, the two sides also stressed the need to immediately stop all forms of escalation and adopt dialogue and diplomatic means to address various outstanding issues in a way that preserves the security of countries, preserves the safety of their people, and prevents the situation from worsening in the region.
