The President of the State receives a phone call from the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, during which they discussed regional developments and Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and a number of countries in the region.
Abu Dhabi, 6 February / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, today received a phone call from His Excellency Nehirvan Barzani, President of the brotherly Iraqi Kurdistan region… during which they discussed the military escalation taking place in the region and its dangerous repercussions on regional security and stability.
The President of the Kurdistan Region expressed his denunciation of the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region, stressing that they are a serious violation of the sovereignty of countries and international laws.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan thanked His Excellency for his position in support of the UAE.
The two sides called for an immediate halt to the military escalation in the region and a return to dialogue and the diplomatic track in a way that preserves regional peace and security
