The sinful Iranian attacks targeting infrastructure in Bahrain and Kuwait are dangerous acts of aggression

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, expressed the Gulf Cooperation Council’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the sinful Iranian attack that targeted the infrastructure in the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing that this aggressive act reflects the escalatory approach pursued by Iran, and embodies the continuation of its policies that destabilize security and stability in the region.
Al-Budaiwi stressed, in a statement published on the Council’s website, that targeting vital facilities and civilian infrastructure is a blatant and unacceptable violation of all international norms and conventions, and clearly contradicts the principles of international law and the values of good neighbourliness. It also represents a dangerous escalation that would undermine the security and stability of the GCC countries, and harm the stability of global energy markets.
Al-Budaiwi called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop these repeated Iranian attacks, and to put an immediate end to the irresponsible actions that threaten regional and international security and peace.
He also renewed the full and firm solidarity of the Cooperation Council with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, stressing that it stands united with them in all the measures they take to protect their security, preserve their sovereignty, and preserve the safety of their vital facilities.
