The Prime Minister of Spain calls for dialogue and diplomatic solutions to settle the region’s issues in a way that preserves its security and stability

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a phone call from Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, during which they discussed the dangerous military and security situation in the region in light of the military escalation there and its repercussions on regional and global security and peace.

During the call, Pedro Sanchez expressed Spain’s condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the territory of the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region, stressing that the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Iranian ambassador and informed him of its rejection and condemnation of these attacks.

For his part, His Highness the President of the State expressed his thanks to Pedro Sanchez for Spain’s position in support of the UAE and its solidarity with it.

The two sides called for an immediate halt to the military escalation and a return to dialogue and diplomatic solutions, stressing that the continuation and expansion of the conflict represents a threat to stability and peace in the region and the entire world.
