The UAE welcomes the American move to classify the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan as a terrorist organization

The UAE welcomed the announcement by the administration of US President Donald Trump to classify the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan as a terrorist organization.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, in a statement, that the American action reflects the ongoing and systematic effort undertaken by the administration of President Donald Trump, which aims to stop acts of excessive violence against civilians and destabilization practiced by the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan to undermine efforts to resolve the conflict in Sudan.
The Ministry also confirmed that this step represents a pivotal measure within the efforts made by the United States to deprive the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood of the resources that enable it to engage in, or support and justify, all acts of extremism, hatred, and terrorism.
The Ministry also stressed the UAE’s support for all international efforts aimed at combating extremism and terrorism, and enhancing regional and international security and stability.
