Mohamed Salah becomes the most European player in Liverpool’s history

Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s right winger, is preparing to write a new history with his team when he faces Turkish Galatasaray in the European Champions League.
Liverpool will meet Galatasaray at the latter’s stadium on Tuesday evening in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League.
The Opta statistical network reported on the X platform that Salah, who was chosen by his Dutch coach Arne Sloat in the starting lineup for the match, will play his 81st match with Liverpool in all European competitions, thus becoming the English club’s most participating player on the continental level.
With Salah reaching this unique achievement, the Egyptian star exceeds the number he shared with former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, by 80 European matches.
