The Ministry of Culture launches a program to grant projects for cultural public benefit associations for the year 2026

Abu Dhabi, 11 March / WAM / The Ministry of Culture launched the new cycle of the Program for Granting Cultural Public Benefit Societies Projects for the year 2026, with the aim of strengthening the role of cultural associations and artistic teams, and enabling them to implement qualitative projects that contribute to strengthening national identity, providing new platforms for talent, and expanding the scope of cultural participation in the various emirates of the country.

His Excellency Mubarak Al-Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, said that launching the program for granting projects to cultural associations is a strategic step within a broader vision that aims to build a renewed cultural system capable of keeping pace with the rapid transformations in the creative scene. Cultural associations are vital platforms for producing knowledge, supporting talent, and bridges linking society to its heritage and identity and to a more prosperous cultural future.

He added that these associations are a pivotal partner in shaping the national cultural scene and supporting the creative economy, and through this new cycle of the grant program, work is being done to enable the associations to develop qualitative projects that contribute to enhancing the presence of the arts, expanding community participation, and creating initiatives capable of creating a sustainable cultural impact in the various emirates of the country.

The association projects grant program constitutes one of the basic pillars on which the Ministry relies to support the local cultural movement, as it provides direct funding to cultural associations of public benefit and licensed artistic teams, enabling them to implement their qualitative annual programs and initiatives, and enhances their contribution to enriching cultural life and community service.

The program includes grants allocated to support innovative projects that are in line with the associations’ plans in multiple fields such as cultural festivals, cultural education, creative production, and international participation.

The program also includes the fields of Arabic literature and language, music, films and cinema, cultural heritage and national identity, design and architecture, visual and digital arts, animation and electronic games, and culinary arts, and targets famous cultural associations in the country, including popular arts associations, theaters, and musical bands.

Those wishing to obtain these grants can submit applications electronically through the Ministry of Culture website, provided that the application includes a detailed plan for the project or program, in addition to the required documents according to the conditions published on the website, noting that applications are subject to a careful evaluation process based on standards of governance, cultural impact, sustainability, and innovation. To ensure that the projects with the most impact and ability to serve the community are selected.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Culture announced last December the list of projects that received grants for cultural public benefit associations for the year 2025, which included a number of distinguished initiatives, as part of its keenness to empower cultural associations and support their qualitative initiatives in various fields of arts, heritage and creativity.
