Abdullah bin Zayed discusses by telephone with a number of foreign ministers developments in the situation in the region

During phone calls with a number of foreign ministers of brotherly and friendly countries, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed the repercussions of the brutal Iranian missile and terrorist attacks on the UAE and a number of countries in the region.
His Highness held telephone discussions with Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Dr. Subramaniam Jaishankar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India, and Mandi Simaya Kumba, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of South Sudan.
The communications discussed the challenges and serious repercussions imposed by current developments on the security and stability of the region, as well as their repercussions on the global economy and the security of energy supplies.
His Highness and the ministers expressed their strong condemnation of these brutal and terrorist missile attacks, which represent a clear violation of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a direct threat to the security and sovereignty of countries and the stability of the region.
They stressed the right of countries that were subjected to these attacks to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to maintain the security of their citizens, residents and visitors, in accordance with the provisions of international law.
During phone calls, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan appreciated the positions of solidarity shown by brotherly and friendly countries towards the UAE, stressing the safety of all residents and visitors in the country.
The importance of strengthening international cooperation and concerted joint efforts to maintain regional security and support paths of sustainable security and comprehensive development in the region for the benefit of its peoples were also discussed during the phone calls.
