3 finals in football, volleyball and cricket, starring Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed

Abu Dhabi, 16 March / WAM / The activities of the first edition of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Ramadan Championship – Al Wathba 2026 will conclude tomorrow, with the holding of 3 finals in football, volleyball and cricket.
The organizing committee announced a special ceremony to be held tomorrow, which includes the crowning of the winners of the various events, after distinct stages of competition throughout the days of the tournament.
The “National Archives and Library” and “Khalifa Foundation” teams will compete in the football final, after excelling in the two semi-final matches yesterday evening, as the “National Archives and Library” team beat Bolivia 3-0, and the “Khalifa Foundation” team beat Salisbury on penalties after they tied in regular and extra time 3-3.
Khairy Al-Husseini, coach of the Khalifa Foundation team, confirmed that the football competitions witnessed distinguished levels of participating teams, with professional organization by the organizing committee, in a motivating and encouraging environment for the players, in the presence of the fans to add a competitive atmosphere that coincided with the month of Ramadan, expressing his hope that his team would reach the podium after strong stages of competition during the last stage.
On a related note, the volleyball competitions in the tournament conclude with the final match between the Emirates Stars and MIH teams.
Yesterday evening, the semi-finals witnessed the victory of the Emirates Stars team over Manama 2-1, and the “MIH” team defeated the Emirates Team 2 with a score of 2-0.
Tomorrow will also conclude the cricket events, which were watched by large audiences from various communities residing in the country during past competitions.
On a related note, the professional padel competitions resulted in a distinguished final between 4 players from Spain, and the duo, Nacho Villarino and Sergio Tenero, succeeded in winning the competition against players Cristobal Garcia and Pablo Castillo, in two sets to none, 7-6 and 6-2.
