Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat launch the national campaign “I fortify you in the name of God, O homeland”

Coinciding with the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan, the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat launched a national campaign under the title “I fortify you in the name of God, O homeland,” under the slogan “Your zakat…we fortify the home with it.”

The launch of the campaign comes with the aim of activating the role of Zakat as a tool for fortifying the self, purifying souls and money, investing in the blessings of the Holy Month, enhancing the stability of families and enhancing the spirit of solidarity among members of society, in a way that embodies the values ​​of the authentic Emirati identity of compassion and solidarity, and is in line with the societal values ​​​​reinforced by the general framework of the Year of the Family in the UAE.

The Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Darai, stressed the Authority’s keenness to achieve the vision of the wise leadership in upholding national, societal and humanitarian values, supporting humanitarian and charitable work, and transforming sustainable giving into an effective tool that contributes to ensuring stability for all families and individuals, through the best and most useful practices within the framework of the humanitarian and charitable work system.

He pointed out that the “Fortress in the Name of God, O Homeland” campaign comes within the context of the Authority’s ongoing efforts and initiatives to provide an advanced pioneering model in managing zakat work, with promising visions in providing support and ensuring that contributions reach the target groups, and in a way that contributes to preserving the quality of life in society, as the obligation of zakat meets social responsibility to form a strong bond that supports the stability of individuals and families, and meets their needs with flexibility, efficiency and effectiveness.

The Authority called on the public and institutions to interact with the campaign and support its goals, stressing that community solidarity through “Zakat” is the true support for sustaining the quality of life in society and preserving its social fabric within an integrated framework that guarantees its unity and giving.
