Abu Dhabi, 17 March / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed during telephone calls with a number of officials and foreign ministers of brotherly and friendly countries the repercussions of the brutal Iranian missile and terrorist attacks on the UAE and a number of countries in the region.
His Highness held telephone discussions with His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, His Excellency Milojko Spajic, Prime Minister of the Republic of Montenegro, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Jeenbek Kolobayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, and His Excellency Toshimitsu Motegi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and His Excellency Sihasak Phuangkitkiyo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand.
During the communications, they discussed the serious repercussions of current developments on the security and stability of the region, as well as their effects on the global economy and the security of energy supplies.
They expressed their strong condemnation of these brutal and terrorist missile attacks, which represent a clear violation of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a direct threat to the security and sovereignty of states and the stability of the region.
They stressed the right of countries that were subjected to these attacks to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to maintain the security of their citizens, residents and visitors, in accordance with the provisions of international law.
During telephone calls, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation for the positions of solidarity shown by brotherly and friendly countries towards the UAE, stressing the safety of all residents and visitors on its soil.
The importance of enhancing international cooperation and concerted joint efforts to maintain regional security and stability, enhance the security and stability of the region, and meet the aspirations of its people for comprehensive development and sustainable economic prosperity were also discussed during the phone calls.
