Samsung leads the global commercial display market for 17 consecutive years until 2025

SEOUL, March 19 (WAM) – Samsung Electronics said Thursday that it has maintained its lead in the global market for commercial display products for 17 consecutive years until 2025, amid efforts to expand its portfolio.

The South Korean technology company said that it captured 35.2% of the market in terms of the number of units sold in 2025, citing research conducted by Omdia, a company specialized in tracking the industry.

She added that she has maintained her lead since she took first place in 2009.

Samsung Electronics announced that it sold a record 2.5 million units of commercial display products, excluding consumer TVs, in 2025.

The company’s commercial display range includes several products such as smart signage and e-paper.

“This sustained performance reflects Samsung’s focus on the next generation of signage that combines advanced displays with cloud-based solutions and artificial intelligence in retail, enterprise, education and hospitality,” the company said in a statement.

It stated that it will continue its efforts to expand its presence in this sector by launching spatial signage displays that present 3D content on screens with a thickness of only 52 millimeters, providing immersive visual experiences for viewers.

The company recently unveiled a 13-inch color screen with e-paper technology, featuring an ultra-thin design with a thickness of 17.9 millimeters and a weight of 0.9 kilograms.

“We will continue to invest in displays and solutions that help our partners work more efficiently and create better experiences anywhere,” Kim Hyung-jae, executive vice president of Samsung’s visual display business, said in a press release.

The company explained that it plans to launch the new “Artificial Intelligence Studio” application, which allows the creation of easy video clips ready to be displayed on banners from a single product image next month.
