Abu Dhabi Police arrests 109 people for filming events and circulating misleading information

Abu Dhabi Police announced the arrest of 109 people of different nationalities who photographed sites and events and circulated incorrect information on social media platforms during the current events, which would stir up public opinion and spread rumors among members of society.

Abu Dhabi Police took the necessary legal and administrative measures against them, as part of the ongoing efforts made by the security authorities to monitor and follow up on violations related to the misuse of social media, stressing that such behavior is considered a violation of applicable laws and legislation, and stressing the importance of ensuring accuracy, and not publishing, or recirculating, any content that is not reliable, or is not issued by official authorities, as this has a negative impact on societal security and the conduct of security procedures.
