After a difficult week in Venezuela, a 5-magnitude earthquake hits Peru

The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred 16 kilometers west of the area "Tornavista"and at a depth of 130.5 kilometers. Peru is exposed to at least 400 earthquakes every year, which are felt by the population, as it is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a point of seismic activity that extends along the western coast of the American continent.

According to what the United Nations warned on Tuesday, while health experts warned of the danger of Epidemic outbreak in the wake of the disaster that claimed the lives of about 2,000 people.
The two successive earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5, the most violent to hit Venezuela in more than a century, left tens of thousands missing, putting first responders in a frantic race against time to find survivors under piles of collapsed buildings.
