The Head of State and the Indonesian President discuss by telephone cooperation relations and the repercussions of developments taking place in the region on regional and international security

During a phone call he received from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, discussed developments in the situation in the region in light of the military escalation and its dangerous repercussions on regional and international peace and security.

During the call, the two sides also discussed the ongoing Iranian terrorist attacks against the UAE and countries in the region, which target civilians, civilian facilities and infrastructure, as they represent a violation of the sovereignty of these countries and international laws and norms.

Prabowo Subianto renewed his condemnation of these terrorist attacks, stressing Indonesia’s solidarity with the UAE and its full support for all measures it takes to defend its security and stability and ensure the safety of its lands, citizens and residents, praising the state’s management of the crisis and the efficiency of its measures in order to preserve the security and safety of its citizens, residents and visitors.

The two sides stressed the need to immediately stop the military escalation and give priority to serious dialogue and diplomatic solutions in addressing the region’s outstanding issues in a way that preserves its security and stability and avoids further crises.

The call also discussed various aspects of cooperation and joint work and opportunities for their development, stressing the keenness to continue supporting bilateral relations in a way that enhances the mutual interests of the two countries, serves their development priorities, and brings goodness and development to their peoples, within the framework of the comprehensive economic partnership that brings together the two countries.
