Record rainfall in all regions of the country, with the highest amount recorded in Manama, Ajman, at 93.3 mm

Yesterday, record amounts of rain fell on regions of the country until the end of the day, as the country was affected by an active weather condition characterized by the proliferation of cumulonimbus clouds and rainfall of varying intensity in a number of regions.

The National Center of Meteorology stated that the Manama region in the Emirate of Ajman topped the list of highest rainfall amounts recorded with 93.3 mm, followed by the Ghayathi region in the Al Dhafra region in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with an amount of 91 mm, then the Al Wathba region in Abu Dhabi with 88.2 mm.

Mohammed bin Zayed City in Abu Dhabi also recorded an amount of rain amounting to 78.7 mm, while the Ruwais area in the Al Dhafra region came fifth with 75.7 mm, among the areas most affected by the weather condition.

The National Center of Meteorology indicated that these quantities reflect the strength of the weather condition that the country witnessed, which was characterized by clear activity in cumulonimbus clouds accompanied by moderate to heavy rain at intermittent intervals.

The center confirmed that it continues to follow developments in the weather situation and update data on an ongoing basis, calling on the public to follow official bulletins and adhere to the safety guidelines issued by the concerned authorities.
