Saudi non-oil exports increased by 22.1% in January 2026

Last January, non-oil exports (including re-exports) recorded an increase of 22.1% compared to the same month in 2025, while national non-oil exports (excluding re-exports) decreased by 9.9%.
According to the report Merchandise Trade issued by the Statistics Authority, the value of re-exported goods increased by 95.5% in the same period, as a result of the increase in machinery, appliances, electrical equipment and their parts by 78.2% (representing 46.1% of the total re-exports).
Merchandise Exports
Merchandise exports increased last January, by 1.4% over the same month in 2025, while exports decreased. The surplus increased by 17.5% compared to January 2025.
The Non-petroleum exports (including re-exports) to imports in January 2026, reaching 40.0% compared to 34.9% in January 2025; This is a result of
the increase in non-oil exports, which reached 22.1%, compared to the increase in imports by 6.5% during the same period.
It is "Machinery, electrical appliances and equipment and their parts" It is one of the most important non-oil export commodities and constituted 24.2% of the total non-oil exports, and it increased by 77.5% from January 2025, followed by "Chemical industry products" (Representing 19.2% of total non-oil exports), which decreased by 3.1% from January 2025.
On the other hand, the most important imported goods were "Machinery, electrical appliances and equipment and their parts" Which constitute 30.3% of total imports, and they increased by 23.7% from January 2025, then transportation equipment and parts, which constitute 13.7% of total imports, and they increased by 7.3% from January 2025. January 2026 AD, followed by the United Arab Emirates with
12.9% of total exports, then India with 9.8% of total exports.
Japan, South Korea, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Singapore, Egypt, Malta, and the United States of America were among the top 10 countries to which exports were made, and the total of Saudi Arabia’s exports to those ten countries amounted to 68.6% of total exports.
China ranks first for the Kingdom’s merchandise imports, which constituted 31% of total imports in January 2026, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 7.7% of total imports, then the United States of America with 6.9% of total imports.
India, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, France, and South Korea were among the 10 most important countries from which imports were made, with a total value of The Kingdom’s imports from these ten countries account for 70.8% of total imports.
Import Ports
King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam is one of the most important ports through which goods crossed into Saudi Arabia, which is equivalent to 27.7% of total imports in January 2026, followed by the other main ports: Jeddah Islamic Port with 18.8%, and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with 15.8%. And King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah by 13.6%, and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam by 5.4%.
These five ports accounted for 81.4% of the Kingdom’s total merchandise imports.
Export Ports
While King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah topped the list to be the most important ports for Saudi non-oil exports in January 2026, as exports were made from this port. 19.3% of
total non-oil exports, followed by Jeddah Islamic Port with 11.1%, then King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with 9.2%, then King Fahd Industrial Port in Jubail with
8.9%, then Jubail Port with 8.2%.
These five ports constituted 56.9% of the Kingdom’s total non-oil merchandise exports.
