المملكة: A joint action plan: The Gulf Cooperation Council and Canada discuss ways to enhance cooperation


His Excellency the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council received Arabic Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in , Minister of Foreign Affairs Condemnation of aggressive attacks

His Excellency the Secretary-General affirmed the strong condemnation of the Gulf Cooperation Council for these aggressive attacks that violate the sovereignty of the GCC countries, and represent a blatant violation of all international laws and norms.

He stressed the need for an immediate cessation of all hostilities, and the need for Iran to commit to implementing UN Resolution 2817, offering in this context his thanks and appreciation to Canada for supporting this resolution.

Strengthening trade relations

For her part, the Canadian Foreign Minister expressed her country’s full and firm support for the GCC countries in confronting Iranian attacks, and the need to stop these attacks and Iran’s opening of the Strait of Hormuz to regional and global supply chains.

The meeting also discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Canada through the joint action plan between the two sides, in addition to studying some proposals that contribute to strengthening trade and investment relations between the GCC countries and Canada, in a way that contributes to achieving common interests.
