Trump threatens Iran again if it does not open the Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump on Monday issued a new warning to Iran that it must open the Strait of Hormuz, otherwise it will face US attacks on oil wells and power stations.

“Great progress has been made, but if an agreement is not reached soon for whatever reason, which is likely to happen, and if the Strait of Hormuz is not ‘opened’ immediately, we will end our beautiful ‘residence’ in Iran by blowing up all the power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island, completely obliterating them,” Trump wrote in a post on social media.

Trump also threatened to attack desalination plants that provide clean water in Iran.

The US President said last week that he would suspend attacks on Iranian electricity facilities for ten days, that is, until April 6, US time.

Trump stated that the United States and Iran were making progress in the talks, but he sent more American forces to the region.
