“Southern Cement” turns to a loss of 49 million riyals in 2025
The Southern Region Cement Company was transformed "South Cement" For a loss in 2025 of 49 million riyals, compared to profits of 193 million riyals in 2024.
According to the company’s statement on the website "Saudi Arabia trading"The reason for the loss is the decrease in revenues and the increase in the cost of sales as a result of the high cost of production inputs and the decrease in the operating rate of production lines.
The reasons included: inventory adjustments to the production inventory in operation and the raw material inventory, and to a negative impact as a result of adjusting the depreciation of assets belonging to the old production lines in the Jazan Cement Factory, which were replaced by the new production line.
Dividend distribution
The Board of Directors of the Southern Cement Company recommended distributing cash dividends to the company’s shareholders for the second half of the year. Fiscal 2025 AD.
The company said: The total amount distributed is 35 million riyals, while the share of the distribution is 0.25 riyals.
It added that the eligibility for dividends goes to the company’s shareholders who own the shares at the end of the day of the next general assembly and who are registered in the company’s shareholder register at the deposit center at the end of the second trading day following the entitlement date. The date of the general assembly will be announced later after obtaining approval from the competent authorities, while The distribution date will be determined later.
