A comprehensive survey of Sharjah roads to monitor damage and begin maintenance

The Sharjah Municipality confirmed that field work teams are working day and night to remove pools of water from the streets, main roads, and residential areas, and to deal immediately with any new pools or reports received from the public, supported by integrated operational plans, and the necessary machinery and equipment, while the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority confirmed that a comprehensive survey of the roads will be conducted to monitor the damage resulting from the rain and begin their maintenance.
The Department of Municipal Affairs called on parents to intensify supervision over children, and not to allow them to approach water pools and temporary basins, which were created to collect rainwater resulting from the recent rain event that the emirate witnessed.
The Director of the Road Maintenance Department at the Roads and Transport Authority in Sharjah, Dr. Engineer Abdullah Al Ali, told Emirates Today that all reports received from the public are responded to immediately and in real time to carry out road maintenance work, pointing out that the Authority is currently continuing during the recovery period a comprehensive survey on all the emirate’s roads to monitor damage and damaged assets on the right of way, so that their maintenance can begin according to the plan and program specified for those works.
