The Head of State receives a written message from the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, delivered by Abdullah bin Zayed

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a written message from Tariq Rahman, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, related to bilateral relations between the two countries.

The message was received by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, when he received Humayun Kabir, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the repercussions of the brutal Iranian missile attacks on the UAE and a number of sister countries were discussed.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Humayun Kabir condemned and strongly denounced the brutal and terrorist Iranian missile attacks, and affirmed the right of countries that were subjected to these attacks to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to maintain the security of their citizens, residents and visitors, in accordance with the provisions of international law.

Humayun Kabir also affirmed the full solidarity of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh with the UAE, and its support for everything that would preserve its security and stability.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks to His Excellency Humayun Kabir for his country’s position in support of the UAE.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed a number of issues of common interest related to bilateral relations between the two countries.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the UAE’s keenness to establish advanced and constructive cooperation relations with the friendly People’s Republic of Bangladesh, in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and contributes to achieving development and sustainable economic prosperity for their peoples.

The meeting was attended by Saeed Al-Hajri, Minister of State.
