Abu Dhabi will host the 3rd edition of the “Conference on Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance” next June

The capital, Abu Dhabi, will host the third edition of the International Conference for Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance, which will be held under the slogan “The Impact of New Media and Artificial Intelligence on the Family and Society,” during the period from June 3 to 5, 2026, in line with the vision of the wise leadership of the UAE to declare the year 2026 as the “Year of the Family” and based on the commitment to promoting the values ​​of dialogue and tolerance and building cohesive societies.

The conference is being held under the auspices of the Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies, in partnership with the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United States of America, and with the support of the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau.

The holding of the third session of the conference in Abu Dhabi comes as a continuation of the success achieved by the first and second sessions, as it continues its role as an international intellectual and dialogue platform, aiming to consolidate the values of tolerance, coexistence and dialogue between cultures in the context of accelerating digital transformations and new media, and understanding how artificial intelligence technologies affect the family and society, their role in shaping individual and collective awareness, and their repercussions on family relationships and social identity, especially among emerging generations, with an emphasis on employing them ethically in a way that enhances social cohesion. It protects family values and combats misinformation.

The conference brings together an elite group of representatives of governments, academic institutions and international organizations, along with partners from the private sector, within the framework of a common vision to enhance civilizational dialogue, spread mutual understanding, and consolidate the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence in an era witnessing unprecedented digital transformations.

The conference confirms the UAE’s commitment to supporting constructive global dialogue, and strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading international center for digital coexistence and intercultural cooperation.

It is expected that more than 100 speakers from various countries of the world will participate in the conference, representing governmental, diplomatic, academic, media and cultural sectors, and the event will attract more than 4,500 participants from more than 120 countries, in addition to extensive media coverage that includes more than 160 media platforms.

This international momentum confirms the advanced status of the conference as an influential intellectual platform concerned with anticipating the future of the family and society in light of new media and artificial intelligence, and consolidating the values ​​of tolerance and human coexistence in the digital age.

Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies, said that holding this conference for the third time in Abu Dhabi embodies the UAE’s commitment to protecting the family as the nucleus of society, and enhancing awareness of the growing effects of new media and artificial intelligence on societal values. Technology, when managed consciously and responsibly, becomes an effective tool for supporting social cohesion and consolidating a culture of tolerance and coexistence.

For his part, Dr. Sibi Ferahian, Director of the Institute of Religious Coexistence at the Abrahamic Family House, said that in light of the increasing presence of artificial intelligence in shaping patterns of thinking, communication, and human relations, the question is no longer limited to what these technologies can offer, but also includes the values ​​that they must serve. Therefore, innovation paths must remain based on the principles of human dignity, empathy, and mutual respect.

He added that in a world whose features are being reshaped by algorithms, shared human values ​​remain the basis that guides the development of technology, thus enhancing family cohesion, deepening understanding between cultures, and consolidating the foundations of peaceful coexistence within societies.

For his part, Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Secretary-General of the Center, said that rapid digital developments are reshaping patterns of interaction within society, and posing new challenges that require institutional and ethical awareness in dealing with modern technologies.

He stressed that investing in digital culture contributes to directing these transformations positively, and enhances the ability of societies to adapt and maintain their cohesion in light of accelerating changes.

The conference will discuss a group of main topics that reflect the depth of digital transformations and their direct impact on the family and society, including digital education in the era of artificial intelligence, strategies for promoting healthy family dynamics, the role of social media in shaping family identity and values ​​and the challenges and opportunities it poses, in addition to the relationship between artificial intelligence and society and ways to achieve a balance between innovation and moral responsibility.

The conference also addresses mechanisms for combating misleading digital information to protect the family and society, the impact of artificial intelligence in developing emotional intelligence and human relations, and the role of technology in consolidating the values ​​of tolerance and building comprehensive digital societies.
