The Head of State receives the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and discusses with him cooperation relations and regional developments
Abu Dhabi, 4 April / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Excellency Felix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, discussed various paths of cooperation and joint work, especially in the economic and development fields, and the possibilities of developing them in a way that serves the development priorities and common interests of the two countries and brings goodness and development to their peoples, within the framework of the comprehensive economic partnership that brings together the two countries.
This came while His Highness received His Excellency President Felix Tshisekedi, who is on a working visit to the UAE.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed developments in the situation in the Middle East region and its serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability. His Excellency renewed his condemnation of the ongoing Iranian terrorist aggression targeting civilians and civilian installations and infrastructure in the UAE and countries of the region, as it represents a violation of the sovereignty of these countries and international laws and norms and constitutes an undermining of regional peace and security. He stressed the solidarity of the Democratic Republic of the Congo with the UAE regarding all the measures it takes to defend itself, protect its security and stability, and ensure the safety of… its lands and its citizens.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, and a number of ministers and officials.
His Excellency President Felix Tshisekedi had arrived in the country earlier, where he was received at the airport by His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State.
