Dubai Chambers reviews with India mechanisms for enhancing trade and investment relations

Dubai, 3 April / WAM / Dubai Chambers discussed with His Excellency Dr. Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the UAE, the development of trade and investment ties between Dubai and India, and the advancement of their fields to serve common interests.
The Chambers stated in a statement today that during the meeting, which was held in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, opportunities were discussed to expand the horizons of cooperation between the business communities in Dubai and India, and to strengthen partnerships in vital sectors, most notably the digital economy, with a focus on financial technology, which constitutes a fundamental pillar in developing more efficient and innovative financial systems and creating advanced digital payment solutions.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance interconnection and cooperation between private sector companies and support the sustainable growth of bilateral trade relations. The importance of close coordination and building on the solid foundations of bilateral economic relations was also highlighted, especially in light of the rapid changes taking place in the global economy.
His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah said that Dubai is linked with India in a dynamic and growing economic partnership that is consistent with common ambitions and continued growth in bilateral relations, and in light of the rapid transformations witnessed by the global economy, enhancing close cooperation between various parties concerned with business sectors has a pivotal role in enhancing confidence, sustaining commercial activity, and supporting the expansion of areas of cooperation.
India is one of Dubai’s most prominent economic partners, as India tops the list of foreign companies operating in the emirate, while Dubai International Chamber, through its offices in Mumbai and Bangalore, contributes to supporting the growth of trade and investment relations between Dubai and India.
