The Head of State and the Prime Minister of Japan discuss by phone strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and developments in the region

Today, President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him, received a phone call from Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, during which they discussed the developments taking place in the region and their repercussions on regional and international security and stability, in addition to their serious effects on the security of international navigation, energy supplies, and the global economy.
His Highness the President and Takaichi also discussed the ongoing Iranian terrorist attacks against the UAE and countries of the region, which target civilians and civilian installations and infrastructure, and the violation of the sovereignty of states, international laws and norms, and the United Nations Charter. Takaichi condemned these attacks, affirming Japan’s solidarity with the UAE towards all the measures it takes to defend itself and its sovereignty and ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
During the call, the two sides reviewed various aspects of cooperation, especially in the developmental and economic fields and the development witnessed within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, praising the successful conclusion of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement negotiations, which would contribute to enhancing trade and investment flows, and expanding the horizons of cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides also affirmed the continuation of joint work in order to achieve the goals of this partnership for the good and development of the two countries and their peoples.
