A new record set by Dubai Roads buses

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai announced that it has achieved a new world record of operating a fleet of public transport buses for a cumulative distance of more than 2 million kilometers per bus, with the buses continuing to operate with high efficiency over 18 years of continuous service.

Buses continued to achieve an availability of more than 93% during the year 2025, while maintaining a very low breakdown rate compared to international standards.

The Authority confirmed that this achievement is a true success story that reflects the Authority’s vision of building a sustainable and smart public transportation system.
