The Head of State receives the British Prime Minister and discusses with him cooperation relations and regional developments

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, who is visiting the UAE.

During the meeting, His Highness discussed with the British Prime Minister the developments taking place in the Middle East region and their serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability, in addition to their effects on the security of international navigation, energy supplies and the global economy, and they exchanged views on them.

The two sides also discussed the ongoing Iranian terrorist aggression targeting civilians and civilian installations and infrastructure in the UAE and countries of the region, which represents a violation of the sovereignty of these countries, international laws and norms, and the Charter of the United Nations, and an undermining of regional peace and security.

The British Prime Minister renewed his condemnation of the Iranian attacks, stressing Britain’s solidarity with the UAE regarding all measures it takes to defend itself, preserve its security and sovereignty, and ensure the safety of its lands and citizens.

During the meeting, the two sides also reviewed the path of development of UAE-British relations and the possibilities of enhancing constructive cooperation and joint work in a way that serves their mutual interests, brings goodness and development to their peoples, and contributes to the prosperity of the future of the relations of the two countries.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, and a number of ministers and officials.
