Including 7 RPG launchers.. The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry announces the receipt of 2,818 unlicensed weapons

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced today that the exceptional deadline granted to hand over unlicensed firearms, ammunition and explosives, which was approved to provide Kuwaiti citizens with the opportunity to correct the legal situation and enhance community security, ended yesterday.
The Ministry stated that it received 2,818 different weapons during the campaign, including 47 sniper rifles, 518 Kalashnikovs, 553 shotguns, 94 MP5 machine guns, 51 M16 machine guns, 81 22-caliber pellet rifles, 166 (self-propelled) machine guns, 5 50 (Istiklal) machine guns, 342 air rifles, and 61 air pistols. And 893 firearms, and 7 RPG launchers.
The Ministry appreciated the remarkable cooperation of the Kuwaitis, and thanked everyone who took the initiative to hand over the unlicensed weapons in their possession during the deadline period, as this reflects awareness, responsibility, and keenness to support the security system and enhance the security and stability of the country.
She stressed that upon the expiration of this deadline, the law will be strictly implemented against anyone proven to possess or use unlicensed weapons, in accordance with the regulations and laws in force in Kuwait.
