Gold is heading for gains for the third week

New York, April 10 / WAM / The price of gold fell today, Friday, but the precious metal is still on its way to achieving gains for the third week in a row.

The price of gold in spot transactions fell, by 03:16 GMT, 0.1% to $4759.54 per ounce, and yet the metal achieved gains of 1.8% since the beginning of the week.

US gold futures for June delivery fell 0.7% to $4,782.70.

As for other precious metals, silver rose in spot transactions by 0.9% to $75.74 per ounce.

Platinum lost 2% to $2,061.06, and palladium fell 1.2% to $1,539.43.
