The American and Iranian delegations meet the Pakistani Prime Minister separately

The US and Iranian delegations met separately with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today, in Islamabad, ahead of formal peace talks.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Sharif first met with the Iranian delegation headed by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf.
Sharif also held a meeting with the American delegation headed by Vice President J.D. Vance, hours after his arrival in Islamabad to hold Pakistani-brokered talks.
Pakistani diplomatic sources said that a round of official talks between the two delegations is scheduled to take place after a short period.
It is unclear whether the two delegations will meet face to face or exchange messages through Pakistani mediators.
