24 nationalities raise the UAE flag under the slogan “Our Homeland is Our Pulse”

Front-line health care workers at Burjeel Holding, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, set a world record in the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of nationalities participating in carrying the banner of the UAE flag bearing the inscription “Our Homeland is Our Pulse,” during an event held yesterday on Al Hudayriat Island, with the participation of 64 nationalities.

The initiative came at the conclusion of the annual Burjeel Games, which were organized in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council under the slogan “Our Homeland, Our Pulse,” inspired by the directives of the wise leadership, to enhance the spirit of unity and raise the national flag.

The event site witnessed the carrying of a single banner featuring the UAE flag and Our Homeland is Our Pulse, 85 meters long and weighing more than 200 kilograms, as 153 participants from 64 nationalities walked a distance of 100 meters while raising it above their heads, surpassing the previous record of 58 nationalities, recorded in Dubai in 2019.

Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Arif Hamad Al Awani, stressed that the achievement reflects the prestigious position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as a global center for sports and community events that combine sports, human and patriotic values.

He added that the partnership with Burjeel Holding comes within the Council’s efforts and directions to support events that enhance the spirit of unity and community cohesion, and highlight the positive role of sport as a bridge that brings together different cultures and nationalities under the UAE banner.

For his part, the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Burjeel Holding, Dr. Shamsher Vayalil, said that the initiative reflects the unique model of the UAE in uniting cultural diversity under a common vision and is a true translation of the strength and cohesion of society.
