المملكة: 40 rescue cases and 402 field trips secure Jeddah’s marine coasts

The Jeddah Governorate Municipality revealed the results of monitoring And the protection of marine coasts during the first quarter of 2026, by implementing 402 monitoring tours and 3,870 field sailing hours, to ensure the safety of the visitor and protect the marine environment.
The data issued showed the treatment of The specialized teams with 40 rescue cases, in addition to issuing 350 sailing permits, within the framework of implementing the regulations regulating maritime uses and covering areas extending to 530 kilometers.
The Deputy Secretary of the Jeddah Governorate for Marine Coastal Monitoring and Protection, Captain Thamer Nahas, explained that the monitoring work is managed through a naval fleet equipped with tracking systems and advanced operational technologies that ensure real-time follow-up.

He pointed out Nahas indicated that the field rooms are working around the clock to deal immediately with Reportsand emergency cases, indicating that the tours included supervision of investment beaches and sea resorts to ensure compliance.
He stated that the Secretariat is keen on the safety of the facilities and activities provided to the public, stressing the continuation of efforts in an integrated framework with the relevant authorities to develop the environmental control system and improve the quality of services provided to visitors.
The Under-Secretary added that these movements aim primarily to improve the quality of life and achieve the goals of the Saudi Vision. 2030, by creating a safe and sustainable coastal environment that meets the aspirations of visitors.
The Jeddah Governorate Municipality noted that the operational scope of control extends very effectively from Rabigh Governorate in the north to Al-Qunfudhah Governorate in the south, which contributes to enhancing the protection of the natural gains of the Bride of the Red Sea.
