Abu Dhabi Police raises awareness among users of electric and bicycles
ABU DHABI, 21 JUNE / WAM / The Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate of the Central Operations Sector of Abu Dhabi Police implemented field awareness programs targeting users of electric bicycles, “scooters” and bicycles at the level of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with the aim of enhancing traffic culture and establishing safe behaviors that contribute to protecting lives and property and reducing traffic accidents and injuries, within the strategic priority “smart road security”.
Brigadier Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Acting Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, stressed the Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to continue implementing field awareness initiatives that contribute to enhancing the safety of road users and consolidating positive traffic behaviors among various segments of society, noting the importance of electric and bicycle users adhering to traffic safety requirements and instructions regulating their use, which contributes to reducing accidents and injuries and achieving the highest levels of road safety.
Abu Dhabi Police called on users of electric bicycles and bicycles to adhere to traffic rules and regulations, respect traffic signals, and reduce speeds in crowded areas, in order to preserve their safety and the safety of road users, in a way that enhances the quality of life and keeps pace with the emirate’s goals of providing a safe and sustainable traffic environment.
