“Mawj” is an early intervention center to enable parents to detect developmental delays in their children

The Zayed Authority for People of Determination launched the “Moj – Early Intervention Center” project, in conjunction with signing a tripartite strategic partnership agreement with the National Academy for Childhood Development and Royal NMC Asteco Limited, to develop an advanced model that combines health and rehabilitation services and family support within a unified system.

“Mawj” is a center specialized in early intervention and evaluation of children, with the aim of early detection of developmental delays, and providing a comprehensive assessment within an integrative model that brings together the health, social, and educational sectors. It provides six services that include evaluating newborns, creating an electronic system to track the child’s journey from birth, providing comprehensive medical specializations, in cooperation with the medical sector, providing family guidance training programs in cooperation with the educational sector, increasing absorptive capacity, in addition to reducing the waiting period to obtain the service.

The three entities will work to implement a package of specific programs that focus on empowering parents, enhancing positive parenting skills, and qualifying caregivers and practitioners in the fields of childhood, in addition to providing specialized training programs and workshops based on best practices, and launching awareness initiatives that support early detection and effective intervention.

The center focuses on providing integrated services for children up to the age of eight years, as it provides detection, diagnosis, and early intervention services, allowing the monitoring of children’s development according to age stages, through a comprehensive system that provides a main point of contact that facilitates access to all services at the appropriate time and place.
