A decree was issued to abolish the government performance monitoring agency

Today, Sunday, the Kuwaiti Official Gazette, Kuwait Today, published Decree No. (59) of 2026, canceling Decree No. (346) of 2007 regarding the establishment of the Kuwaiti government performance monitoring agency. The decree stipulated that the General Secretariat of the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers would assume the duties previously undertaken by the agency, and that the Council of Ministers may entrust one or more entities to exercise any of these powers.
The decree included the transfer of permanent employees in the government performance monitoring agency to the Civil Service Commission, in preparation for their redistribution to all government agencies with the same grades and salaries.
The service of temporary employees employed by the government performance follow-up agency shall also be terminated as of the effective date of the provisions of this decree, without prejudice to the procedures established in this regard.
