15 people were killed and 20 others injured in a horrific accident in India

At least 15 people were killed and about 20 others were injured after a passenger bus slid off a cliff in the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning, according to the Press Trust of India.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his shock and sadness over the accident, and announced financial compensation of 200,000 rupees to the families of all those who died, and 50,000 rupees to each injured person, according to what was reported by The Indian Express newspaper.
Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, and Regional Prime Minister Omar Abdullah extended their condolences to the victims of the accident and assured support and assistance to the affected families.
Both officials also directed the authorities to provide immediate relief and necessary support to the injured and the families of the deceased.
In a post on the “X” platform, Sinha described the incident as “heartbreaking,” expressing his condolences to the families of the victims, adding that he directed the district administration, police, state disaster response force, and the Ministry of Health to provide all possible forms of assistance to those affected.
