Sharjah Airport and"Identity, nationality, customs and port security" They enhance the efficiency of travel procedures and develop services

Sharjah, April 20 / WAM / Today, the Sharjah International Airport Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, with the aim of applying the highest standards of service and operation by ensuring the continuous readiness of human cadres around the clock, raising the efficiency of operating passport ports, and adopting proactive methods to manage peak times, which contributes to accelerating passengers’ procedures and improving their experience.
The signing took place at the Sharjah International Airport Authority headquarters by His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Authority, and His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Kuwaiti, Acting Director General of Ports at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, in the presence of Sheikh Faisal bin Saud Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah International Airport Authority.
Ali Salem Al Midfa stressed that the memorandum of understanding reflects a strategic partnership between the Sharjah International Airport Authority and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, which work within one system in which roles and efforts are integrated, contributing to achieving a common goal of enhancing the flow of procedures and unifying operational efforts to ensure the provision of integrated services that live up to the aspirations of travelers.
He added that the partnership is an essential pillar for enhancing the airport’s readiness and sustaining excellence in performance by adopting advanced standards based on accurate performance indicators that keep pace with the best international practices in airport management. He stressed the continued commitment to developing a flexible operating environment, which enhances the quality of services and consolidates Sharjah Airport’s position as a vital hub linking regional and global destinations.
For his part, Mohammed Ahmed Al Kuwaiti stressed the importance of signing the memorandum of understanding with the Sharjah International Airport Authority in achieving quality standards and institutional governance in operational processes, leading to the happiness of travelers and providing a safe, easy and comfortable travel experience, in addition to enhancing the UAE’s leadership in the field of travel and tourism and supporting freedom of movement at the global level.
He pointed out that Sharjah International Airport represents a strategic element and a major player in the UAE’s national travel system, as well as being a prominent landmark in the regional and global travel system, which embodies the importance of signing the memorandum of understanding between the two sides.
