A preliminary ruling to compensate “Saudi Darb” against former members in the amount of 68.7 million riyals

The Securities Disputes Settlement Committee issued a decision obligating 6 former board members of Darb Saudi Investment Company (formerly Al Baha Investment and Development) to pay an amount of 68.7 million riyals to the company, in addition to 500 thousand riyals as compensation for legal fees.
The company said, in a statement on its website "Saudi Arabia trading"The decision came within the framework of the lawsuit filed against the members of the Board of Directors for the session extending from February 10, 2010 until February 9, 2013, in which it demanded compensation amounting to 100 million riyals.
According to the company’s lawyers’ statement to the company, the committee ruled to oblige the defendants to jointly pay the amounts awarded, while rejecting all other requests.
The company confirmed that the ruling issued is preliminary and is subject to appeal. Within a period of 30 days from the date of receiving a copy of the decision, yesterday.
The company had announced in July 2025 that the lawsuit had been filed before the Capital Market Authority, as part of its effort to recover its financial rights related to that period.
