Trump announces the extension of the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel for 3 weeks

US President Donald Trump announced the extension of the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel for three weeks.
Trump said in a blog post on the Truth Social platform that he participated in a meeting with high-level representatives of Israel and Lebanon in the Oval Office of the White House, in the presence of his deputy, J.D. Vance, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, US Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa, and US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.
He announced his hope to host the leaders of the two countries at the White House soon, saying: “I look forward, in the near future, to hosting the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and the President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun.”
Trump concluded his statements by saying: “It was a great honor for me to participate in this very historic meeting.”
