With the decline of the yen, the dollar is heading towards weekly gains


The US dollar is heading to achieve the first its weekly gains for three weeks, at a time when the Japanese currency (yen) continues its series of declines against the major global currencies.
The dollar index, which measures the performance of The US currency against a basket of six major currencies showed little change as it settled at the level of 98.81 points, achieving a weekly growth of 0.59 percent.

The euro rose by 0.02 percent in trading, reaching $1.1685, while the British pound fell by 0.01 percent to reach $1.3466.
And in Asian currency market The Japanese yen continued to decline for the fifth day in a row against the US currency, falling by 0.01 percent to reach 159.75 yen per dollar.
