"Euro Gulf Transformer" Increase its investments in "Al-Hamriyah Free Zone" In Sharjah to 100 million dirhams

Sharjah, April 27, WAM / Euro Gulf Transformer, a company specializing in the manufacture of power and distribution transformers, announced the expansion of its industrial facilities in the Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, adding a new manufacturing facility with a new investment of approximately 60 million dirhams, bringing the company’s total investments in the Hamriyah Free Zone to about 100 million dirhams, in response to the growing demand for energy and infrastructure solutions.

The expansion aims to enhance the company’s production capacity within an integrated industrial complex with an area of 350,000 square feet, more than doubling the existing area of manufacturing facilities of 150,000 square feet.

The new facility allows for increased production of distribution transformers, as well as the development of transformers with higher capacities, up to the voltage class of 220 kV, to meet the requirements of electricity projects, industry, and the maritime sector, with a focus on providing specialized solutions that support the needs of local and regional markets.

Today, His Excellency Saud Salem Al Mazrouei, Director of the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority in Sharjah, made an inspection tour of the new industrial facility during which he viewed the production lines in its various stages, equipped with the latest equipment according to the highest standards for conducting routine and qualitative tests for transformers. He listened to an explanation from company officials about the integrated industrial system it adopts from design and development to testing, installation and maintenance, and future plans to meet the increasing demand.

His Excellency stressed that the Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah continues to provide advanced facilities and infrastructure that make the region a preferred destination for industrial and logistical investments, expressing his pride that industrial companies continue to choose the Hamriyah Free Zone as a center to launch their expansions.

He pointed out that the expansions of Euro Gulf Transformer reflect the attractiveness of the integrated operational components provided by the region, including modern infrastructure and logistical services connected to ports and airports, explaining that the authority is working within an integrated vision to develop its facilities and services in a way that keeps pace with the aspirations of investors and enhances their contribution to the national economy.

For his part, Michel Aziz, Executive Director of Euro Gulf Transformer, explained that the expansion comes within a short- and long-term strategic vision that focuses on advanced industrial expansion within the UAE with the latest technologies and equipment through an industrial facility specialized in manufacturing power transformers of the 132/220 kilovolt category, which supports the company’s position in the high-voltage transformer sector and its ability to meet the requirements of major energy projects in the local and regional markets.

He added that this step will contribute to raising the company’s production capacity to three times the current capacity, as the components provided by the Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, including the advanced industrial infrastructure, the integrated logistical and administrative services system, and the strategic location linked to ports and airports, help stimulate the company’s expansion plans.

The new expansion contributes to enhancing employment opportunities for human resources, as the company currently employs 256 employees and enhances its capabilities to continue providing its products to its current and future markets within the Emirates, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the United States and the United Kingdom. The company mainly targets the utilities sector and the energy sector by meeting the needs of electricity companies, transmission and distribution network operators, and major energy projects, which strengthens its position as a specialized technical partner in this vital field.

The company’s client base includes a number of the most prominent entities and companies operating in the utilities and energy sectors, including the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA), the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the Bahrain Electricity and Water Authority, the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), the Sharjah National Oil Company, and the Saudi Electricity Company.
