Al-Salloum: Revoking the citizenship of those who harm Bahrain’s security confirms that protecting the homeland and its sovereignty is above all considerations

Representative Ahmed Sabah Al-Saloum confirmed that the decision to revoke Bahraini citizenship from those involved in glorifying hostilities or collaborating with foreign parties represents a firm sovereign measure that falls within the state’s responsibility to protect its security and stability and preserve its sovereignty, stressing that homeland security is a red line that cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.

Al-Salloum explained that the measures issued clearly reflect the high directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in confronting everything that might undermine the security of the Kingdom or threaten its societal cohesion, stressing that the state is moving steadily to establish the rule of law and strengthen the deterrence system against anyone who violates the requirements of national loyalty.

He pointed out that protecting national security is not an option, but rather a firm commitment imposed by the responsibility of preserving the state’s entity and stability, pointing out that any sympathy for or justification for hostile acts targeting Bahrain is a dangerous transgression that cannot be accepted, as it poses a direct threat to civil peace and the nation’s supreme interests.

Al-Salloum added that decisions related to nationality are at the heart of the acts of sovereignty exercised by the state in accordance with legal frameworks, in a way that ensures the protection of society and the preservation of its gains, stressing that national legislation has provided a clear legal basis for dealing with such cases, ensuring that a balance is achieved between rights and duties.

He stressed that the current stage requires the highest levels of awareness and national responsibility, and standing united behind the wise leadership, to preserve Bahrain’s security and stability and the continuation of its development path, stressing that the nation’s strength lies in the cohesion of its people and the clarity of their position in rejecting everything that affects its sovereignty or threatens its security.

Al-Salloum concluded his statement by emphasizing that the honor of citizenship is linked to sincere loyalty and true belonging, and that preserving the homeland and its sovereignty is a shared responsibility that does not accept tolerance or compromise.
